Winter Recap

From our President, Suzanne:

So winter is definitely upon us here in Colorado. It was 5 degrees this morning with knee-deep snow in my backyard. The road out front of my house is covered in ice and snow. Here’s hoping it defrosts before Saturday when the annual motorcycle swap meet is being held. Several of the members are planning on meeting for breakfast and then hitting the swap meet looking for items we can’t live without. Two members will even host their own booths this year, Holly and Celeste.

The month of December involved members participating in the Wreaths Across America at Fort Logan National Cemetery and preparing goody packets for Family Promise of Greater Denver. The chapter also made a cash donation to Family Promise for the holidays. The Rocky Mountain Chapter continues to support another great and worthy cause, Combat Hero Bike Build. This is a cause very near and dear to several members but two in particular, Jody and Karen . CHBB modifies motorcycles for severely wounded veterans and awards them to returning veterans.

In January, the after-holiday luncheon was held at the Moose Hill Cantina along with a white elephant gift exchange. Thanks to Cindy for treating everyone to the alcoholic “moose milk” shakes – yummy!! Be safe everyone. Stay warm. -Suzanne
